Forestry Timber’s flooring is coloured using reactive stain technology. Sanding removes part of the coloured surface and may significantly change or reduce the intensity and appearance of the original colour. It also reduces the thickness of the hardwood wear layer.
Sanding may be possible where the remaining wear-layer thickness permits and a change in colour is acceptable. The floor should be assessed by a qualified flooring professional before any sanding or refinishing work begins.
