Caring for the environment is a responsibility we all share. At Forestry Timber, we take this responsibility very seriously. We work hard to ensure the timber we use for our engineered wood flooring is sourced from sustainably managed forests and meets stringent global environmental standards.

Wood Flooring Compliance

When sourced responsibly, wood is a renewable resource. Roughly 70% of every finished plank we use in our flooring is from plantation-sourced wood.

The trees used for our wood floors are harvested only when they have come to the end of their natural life span. The precious hardwood we use as the face of our floors comes from Europe, Australia, and the USA.

This beautiful wood is legally sourced in compliance with the strict regulations you would expect from these regions.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC), and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Candidate Schemes™ (PEFC) are international organizations working to promote best-practice forestry. Forestry Timber has earned the Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification to supply FSC® and PEFC flooring worldwide.

Indoor Air Quality Flooring Compliance

The engineered hardwood floors we ship to distributors worldwide are of the highest quality and have been manufactured to meet rigorous standards of indoor air quality. We use no composite wood, and our product is formaldehyde-free. Whether you are a commercial architect or a home owner, you can be sure our floors are certified as low emission and compliant.

Our certificates include: FloorScore®, No Added Formaldehyde (NAF), Emission dans l’Air Interieur A+, as well as flooring collections which are certified for use in LEED and BREEAM projects.
